In a life-threatening emergency, call 112 (or 15 / 18 in France).
Never rely on Weave when someone's life or physical safety is at stake
(collapse, serious fall, chest pain, loss of consciousness, bleeding,
accident…).
1. What the Weave relay does — and does not — do
Weave's emergency relay is a mutual-aid tool between
relatives. When you trigger it, it sends a notification to the members of
your circle (and, depending on the chosen mode, to partner support
structures) so a relative can react quickly: make a call, come over,
reassure, organise a presence.
The Weave relay does not:
- dispatch an ambulance, the fire brigade or the police;
- connect to any medical dispatch centre or emergency control room;
- guarantee any response time — a relative may be unavailable, offline or asleep;
- replace medical advice, a diagnosis or professional rescue intervention.
Weave is a complement to organising daily life and coordinating
caregivers. For any urgent or potentially serious situation, the official
emergency services must always be contacted first.
2. European emergency number
112 is the single European emergency number.
It works in every European Union country (and beyond), free of charge, from
any phone — including without a SIM card or with a locked keypad.
Dial 112 if you don't know which number to call, if you are
travelling in Europe, or for any emergency requiring the fire brigade,
medical services or the police. The operator will route you to the right
service.
3. Emergency numbers in France
All of these numbers are free and reachable 24/7, from a landline or a mobile (even with no credit, and with no SIM card for 112).

5. The right reflex
Faced with a worrying situation, the order of priorities is simple:
- 1. Move the person to safety if possible.
- 2. Call 112 (or 15 / 18 / 17 in France) immediately.
- 3. Follow the operator's instructions (they stay on the line with you).
- 4. Only then use Weave to alert and coordinate relatives.
In short: emergency services first, the circle second.
Weave helps your relatives organise around the person — it will never
replace a call to the emergency services.
